About us
Khmelnytskyi City Children's Hospital is the leading institution for providing medical care to children in Podillya, which has a 65-year history. We treat more than 11 thousand children every year and perform more than 6 thousand surgical interventions. The hospital supports the strategy of the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) of breastfeeding support and new technologies introduction in the practice of newborns care and treatment. Our doctors provide medical care and carry out extensive preventive work in all educational institutions of the city. There are physiotherapy, massage, and reflexology rooms in our hospital. In the office of visual protection and deaf office children have the opportunity to complete the study of visual and auditory analyzers. Our hospital won the local government projects competition, thanks to we have a swimming pool and introduce art-therapeutic treatment methods of children with special needs. Every year, more than 500 children aged 0 to 18 receive treatment at our Care Rehabilitation Center. We use computer technology for remote work with families caring for children with disabilities. The hospital works with teenagers on a youth-friendly basis. Khmelnytskyi City Children's Hospital provides assistance to children not only in the city, but also in the whole Khmelnytskyi region. The hospital provides assistance to sick newborns throughout the region. Pediatricians work complies with the requirements of treatment protocols approved by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, created local treatment protocols for children, patient routes. Neonatology departments use in the work advanced perinatal technologies and means of infection control. The range of surgical interventions with the help of a laparoscopic stand (herniotomy, appendectomy) has been expanded, the number of laparoscopic operations has increased.
